In this post, we will see how to connect to SQL Azure server from Microsoft Excel and browse and view data
Open Excel 2010 and click on “Data” tab in Ribbon bar
Click on “From Other Sources” and Click on “From SQL Server”
Please enter SQL Azure Server Name and then select “Use the following User Name and Password”, specify user name and password and click on “Next”
Select the database and then select the View or Table which you want to connect to
Click “Next” to proceed
If you want to save the password, click "on “Save password in file” and then click “Finish”
Select how you want to display the data and then click “ok” to download and view the data from SQL Azure database
This helps in quickly prepare a report and charts from SQL Azure data using Microsoft Excel.
